Cala Corporation Announces Selection of Naval Architect for the Undersea Resort
and Hotel Project

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Cala Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: CCAA) today announced that the prestigious firm of Guido
Perla & Associates, Inc. of Seattle, Washington has been selected to provide
the design and engineering for the Undersea Resort and Hotel Project. Guido
Perla & Associates (GPA) was founded in 1979 and has established a world-wide
reputation for its progressive and original approach to nautical design. GPA
maintains a global clientele. They provide services in all phases of ship
design, from feasibility studies through contract and detail design, to
production engineering, shipyard inspection and contract administration. GPA
provides preliminary and contract designs for passenger cruise liners, gaming
casinos, yachts, fishing vessels and off-shore supply vessels. GPA also
provides general engineering support for the off-shore drilling industry.
As the chosen naval architect, marine electrical and mechanical engineers
for the Undersea Resort and Hotel Project, GPA has proposed three designs that
will be developed in a four-phase progression.
Cala Corporation is securing locations for the Undersea Resort and Hotel
Project throughout the world. The varying designs proposed by GPA reflect the
different settings of each project's location. Sites in shallow or protected
areas demand different design and construction considerations than do
locations in deep and unprotected waters.
The proposed four-phase program will begin with the development of the
three conceptual designs and feasibility studies of the proposed locations of
the Undersea Resort and Hotel Project.
Phase Two will develop the conceptual designs of Phase One into plans that
will be delivered to shipyards and contractors for construction bidding.
Proposed sites will be studied and engineering work performed to develop
mooring requirements of the hotels. Phase two will end when the shipyards and
contractors return their construction bids.
During Phase Three, construction contracts with a selected shipyard and
site contractor will be finalized. By the end of Phase Three, initial sites
will have been selected and cleared of any legal requirements.
Construction of the hotels and final preparation of sites will occur
during Phase Four. GPA will supervise the construction of the hotels and site
preparation during this final phase.
A contract between Cala Corporation and GPA has been executed. Services
to complete Phase One has been estimated at $570,000.00 dollars. Phase One is
expected to be completed in several months.
Cala Corporation also reports that its web site and information
distribution system being developed by PR Newswire and an independent
contractor (Astrum Technologies, www.astrumtech.net) is in its final stages
and should be available at www.calacorporation.com on or about April 12, 2000.
