Craig, thanks for responding to the points I made concerning GbE vs FC some weeks ago when I stuck myself out on the limb. I'm really surprised that there hasn't been any rebuttal or follow up prior to now. That was some find, btw. Thanks. Let me read the letters later on, and reply at that time. One thing that I'd like to say at this time, however, is that your assessment about why FC is eschewed today has been stated before in almost exact words regarding why Ethernet won out over Token Bus, Token Ring, ATM (in the LAN), etc. To this very day, Enterprise Networkologists who still live in reside within legacy topology designs/architectures (there's a ton of the stuff still out there that isn't going anywhere anytime soon, btw) will argue that Token Ring was the better choice. FAC
