monty, yeah. we diverted some funds to pay down (and eventually off) a higher rate mortgage on a rental we own so we cam up a little short w/ the 20% down on our home.

ok, we were 15% short ;-)

anyway, the e-z money crowd has catapulted prices to a l;evel that gives us 20%+ equity and we are waiting for the middle of this year to can our mortgage insurance.

i expect a small fight b/c our current loan owner expects 25% equity (which we might have anyway), but the original documents we signed with the original mortgage issuer said 20%. i'll be hashing that one out next month.
