It certainly doesn't look good to me either. After reading the annual report, I noticed that another one of the board of directors, Harry Saal also quit in the past few months. Mr. Birmingham, one of the companies lawyers who was also an executive, submitted his resignation on March 17th. He even had a sweetheart deal if the Corel deal went through (all options become vested + guaranteed payment if his employment was ended). As part of his resignation, he is being paid over $300,000 as severance pay. When did receiving severance for a resignation become common? In any case, the Iona lawsuit is no doubt a result of the games they played about a month ago. I heard that there was a truck driving around with a large sign that said "InDoubt" and then an advertisement for Iona. I've never seen anything substantial come out of this type of lawsuit. Borland filed one against MSFT years ago for the same thing. It was settled, but the settlement was not disclosed.

Just to think all this crap started with the Corel merger. Unfortunately, when the deal is voted down by the shareholders, it'll take a lot to begin to rebuild.
