agreed; not a good time to "have been on" margin - but it is a "good time to be going on margin" imho... I'm reloading into the abyss ~ Just 4-5 names: FLC - most upside; the absolute Home Run play of the OSX if indeed we are all right and there really is a Boom 2000 Santa Claus... RIG - Offshore posterchild - nothing else needs to be said. PGO - buyout rumors, FPSO play & the player in deepwater seismic and analysts love its earnings acceleration power coming into mid-cycle here in Q3-4. BSNX - easiest & safest Nat Gas pureplay; that is fundamentally undervalued and has at LEAST 50% upside to prior trading levels. HAL - $35ish if seen gives a nearly guaranteed 50% upside return - gotta be here in "any" Boom. I also love HAL BHI GLM BJS SII CAM WFT on further weakness - small caps taking any further major hits are no-brainers - HOFF SESI KEG etc and the integrateds & mini-majors are still very cheap and safe plays - TX P UCL COCb MRO KMG all nice buys. If we see some bad API's tomorrow - we could see OSX 95-98ish and I'll be buying on heavy margin (to .45-50% maintenance levels) - We would be talking $40ish RIG - $16ish FLC mid $30's HAL ? - no brainers... The SI Strictly Drilling Sentiment indicator just turned to BUY as well (VBG) ~ $23 oil is too cheap fundamentally - lots of short interest in crude futures evidently - wall of worry & short interst that's getting over-confident here imo; is going to create a great breakout for us shortly. ==================================================================== The Kudlowites shall perish - so it is written; so it shall be done: Slider 4:10
