All right. We read it differently. You find the whole idea repulsive; I'm sorting thru it fur "chuckers' and "keepers". I'm willing to suspend my disbelief long enough to see if the core idea can be reworked into something which combines an affirmation of the dignity of all citizens with a need to keep the program simple&effective. I'm looking at how to make a pile of sod into a hut. Maybe there's a hut there, maybe not. I'll moderate to Jeff's eminently prudent stance and say that whatever is to be done about welfare, it'll be expensive, costing both money and (the greater expense) attention. Don't forget this is the guy who pledged fealty to the Princeling just to watch the bait go down unchewed.
