Sunair Receives $14.7 Million 5 Year Requirements Contract

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Uricho, Jr., President of Sunair Electronics (Amex: SNR), announced today that the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, Maryland, has awarded Sunair Electronics, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a five (5) year requirements contract for high frequency (HF) transceiver systems with a cumulative total of $14.7 million, if all options are exercised.

The scope of work is to replace some 800 aging AN/URC-116(V) HF radio sets with new technology equipment including spare parts and documentation.

Mr. Uricho said, "We are pleased to have been selected for this important project. This contract contributes to an ongoing partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard dating back to the 1970s. The new work effort matches Sunair's focused growth plan to provide interoperable high frequency communications systems for data, facsimile and email employing the newest technologies available."

Sunair Electronics, Inc. is a small business manufacturer of HF radio communications equipment and integrated systems for government and military markets worldwide.
