That is what the analysts are saying. But there is a catch. GTR is in a high growth mode and it needed equity capital to sustain this during 1999. Earnings per share, therefore, are not a good indication in the short term because the issue of shares (even a weighted average) is greater than the initial growth in net earnings. When this effect is adjusted, GTR will be shown to be extremely cheap at its present price. When? My guess that it will start to show in its second or third quarter this year. In the mean time a better guide is to follow the growth gradient of its pre tax income.
