Worldwide Sales of Eicon's DIVA ISDN Solutions Break the
One Million Unit Barrier

APRIL 11, 2000
MONTREAL, CANADA--

Strength of Global ISDN Market Continues to Power Worldwide Sales

Eicon Technology, a leading global provider of remote access
solutions, today announced that worldwide sales of its
award-winning DIVA ISDN solutions have exceeded one million units.
Eicon surpassed this milestone mark with the recent delivery of
its DIVA PRO to CETELEM, a European credit agency, headquartered
in France.

"The increased worldwide demand for high-speed remote access
continues to drive sales of our ISDN equipment. This is a
testament to the strength of the global ISDN market and Eicon's
desire to provide the right products at the right prices," said
Peter Brojde, President and CEO of Eicon Technology. "With the
predicted number of Internet users reaching 1 billion by 2006, we
continue to foresee rapid growth in the sales of both our ISDN and
DSL solutions."

Globally, Eicon has developed a successful reputation for
providing reliable, high performance ISDN connectivity solutions
for remote access to corporate networks and the Internet. The
company will continue to add new ISDN solutions to the DIVA
Family.

"Eicon's DIVA products were the obvious choice for CETELEM,
providing fast and easy set-up for complete integration with our
current systems," comments John Pierre Caffin, CETELEM's Networks
Manager. "Thanks to Eicon's DIVA ISDN solution, CETELEM is able
to offer its clients first-class customer support, particularly
during peak times such as a Saturday when hundreds of customers
access our database simultaneously. With its dramatic increase in
speed, ISDN enables us to support remote sites in just a few
seconds - an extremely powerful and cost-effective solution."

In a 1999 report, industry analysts Dataquest ranked Eicon as the
leading volume supplier of ISDN solutions throughout Europe. The
company holds the top spot in no less than eight European
countries.

"The Eicon brand is constantly evolving to meet market demand for
cost effective, high speed connectivity," said Ken Gingrich,
Eicon's Senior Vice President for Worldwide Sales and Marketing
Operations. "Our sales are not concentrated in any single
country. We have always entered new markets with high-end
'best-of-breed' solutions, as opposed to concentrating on
delivering large volumes of entry-level products. We have the
industry's most complete portfolio of ISDN client and server
products. The delivery of our millionth DIVA ISDN unit is yet
another endorsement of our high quality solutions and
market-leading position."

Eicon will introduce its new DIVA DSL solutions later this year.
These products will deliver the reliable solutions that Eicon's
customers have come to expect and demand. These offerings will
make Eicon one of the most complete suppliers of digital
communications solutions available.
