The problem- as I see it- is that while kindness to other believers is encouraged, lots of religious people are really rotten and scary to people not of the same faith. Now I would never pick on any one faith for that- Muslim fundamentalists are just as scary as Christian fundamentalists who are all just as scary as Jewish fanatics.

If people didn't act so horribly en masse, when under the influence of religion, I'm sure Terry would cut the religious more slack than he does. Or maybe not- but I would cut them more slack.
