Dave,

I especially like the following two paragraphs.

e.Digital's multi-codec design including support for EMMS can be incorporated into a variety of products including portable digital music players, home and automotive stereos, and functionally-enhanced wireless phones.

...Two of e.Digital's portable Internet music player designs will be on display in the IBM booth (No. L3337) at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Annual Meeting this week in Las Vegas. This marks the debut of the e.Digital/Maycom music player design incorporating IBM's EMMS content protection. e.Digital has also incorporated IBM's 340MB Microdrive into a portable Internet music player design, allowing storage of approximately 5 1/2 hours of CD-quality digital music. The NAB Annual Meeting will be attended by approximately 63,000 broadcast industry professionals and is not open to the public.

The mention of functionally enhanced wireless phones is impressive and the fact that the EDIG/Maycom player is being shown publicly tells me that the player is indeed done. It shouldn't be long before we hear about contracts from OEM's and others.

Cheers.
