Another DSL maker, Amati Communications Corp., will show at
NetWorld+Interop a new version of its Overture 810 ADSL modem that offers
upstream transmission rates of 640K bps, up from 384K bps in the current
product. It will cost less than $1,000.
Amati also will show the Allegro Pro, which doubles the density of the existing
Allegro ADSL chassis, and View Manager software, which provides
SNMP-based management over all client and central site devices.
Beta trials begin this month. The products will ship in June, said officials of the San
Jose, Calif., company.
