<<If you have to get down on your knees and pray you can do it on your own time and not school time->>If I am a child the government requires my attendance in school. The God of the Universe requires my observance at the same time. You require a balance of the time. Whos time is it and what about the requirement on the government to not "prohibit free exercise there of." Seems like you are kind of skirting that.

<<...it requires you to do weird stuff during the school day, private school is the answer- although since I don't want to subsidize any particular religion, and I especially don't want to select for wacky ones, it's on your nickle.>> The government is taking my nickle for the public schools. So, are you supporting me having control over my nickle for say, vouchers?

<<The government and public buildings shouldn't have anything to do with religion.>> I agree, but my interpretation of that statement is that they would not be institions that are used to block an individuals freedom to observe his religion. The go someplace else attitude that you have is definately oppressive when we see the arm of the government leaching into every aspect of society. Now this is so pervasive that we can legitimately say that for all practical purposes Government forbids religion, with your fanatical support that it is evil to do otherwise. This is far different than the intent of:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; "
