Re; "MSFT should have admitted their wrongdoings a long time ago and settled this very early. MSFT is not above the law, and every outcome of this will give some results, that are unpleasant to MSFT, no matter what."

I was not always a MSFT fan. You or I -or anyone for that matter, have no idea of the timing MSFT should have taken or if they should admit to any "wrong doing". They are the defendant and have rights under our current laws.

The way I see it they are willing to settle but do not want to get destroyed in the process. There seems to be some blood sucking money hungry do nothing no talent leaches hanging around for the kill -and they are trying to get MSFT to just hand the profits to them without a fight! Well I commend MSFT for putting up a fair fight in the face of such inappropriate malice. They may just win everything in appeal because of the unfairness this turned into.

The plaintiff's should wake up and realize they'll get enough blood money in a settlement. They should just get it over with or go away with nothing for the next 2-5 years in more courts. MSFT has nothing further to lose at this point -they will either spend the money in the courts or in a settlement it's up to the hard-nose plaintiff's at this point.
