<< The issue here is NOT whether the child is happier but rather, whether it is RIGHT. >>

Is it right to send a child back to imprisonment under the vicious, incompetent Fido Castro?

Is it right to make it so that Elian's mother died in vain?

Is it right to ignore the fact that Elian's family and friends, here in the U.S., rescued Elian, and brought Elian back to life, after a near death experience at sea, during which time he watched his mother die?

If it weren't for the Miami Cuban community, Elian might never had recovered from his ordeal, or might have drowned in the ocean. Elian's father deserted Elian, while Elian's Miami family cared for Elian, for months, and brought him back to a somewhat normal life.

If Elian's father was a deserving father he would have been by his child's side when Elian needed his father the most. Where was Elian's father???????? Does he really deserve custody of his son. NO! He deserted his son when his son needed him the most. It would be a crime to take Elian from a loving and caring home and throw him back into uncaring arms, and back into imprisonment on Castro's Prison Island.
