"one third of outstanding shares (50 million) have turned over in the past 5 trading days between $61 and $79 with at least 80% of those between $69 and $79 probably altering average shareholder cost base dramatically" The 50 million must represent much more than 1/3 of the "effective float," e.g. many institutions and mutual fund advisors can't simply dump a stock in one day. Tomorrow we should close back in the 70s with over 10 million in volume. On Wednesday I could see 25 million AMD shares traded and AMD hitting the high 80s.
