Intel and a few others are in a unique position re-VC. They know more than most re- the probabilities of success, can supply the capital, technical assistance and the possibility
of being a customer. The name Intel carries great weight and
opens many doors for the fledgling enterprises. Earnings for
most VC's will decrease but not for the likes of Intel.
