Optivision to Provide Network Attached MPEG Video Over IP Systems for Service Provider and Enterprise Applications
Las Vegas, Nevada ?April 10, 2000?Optivision, Inc. (Booth #M7454), a leading provider of streaming video communications products, announced today that it has signed a reseller agreement to provide Lucent Technologies (NYSE:LU) with technology that enables streaming MPEG video to the desktop. Under the agreement, Lucent Digital Video (Booth #L2632) will incorporate Optivision?s streaming video technology into its IP video solutions for service providers and enterprise customers.
The integration of Optivision?s equipment with Lucent?s product offering is intended to provide customers with more network flexibility for streaming video applications such as rich media content distribution, distance learning, corporate training, video conferencing, telemedicine, and surveillance.

The Optivision product line offers a set of network attached, streaming video components that fully support industry standards. High quality video is supported by MPEG compression with variable bit rates from 56Kb/s to 15Mb/s for customer choice of video quality. Both LAN and WAN environments are supported with industry standards such as IP/Ethernet, ATM, Gigabit Ethernet, and T1 network interfaces.
