<<Lynx is text-only and is blindingly fast for browsing...>>
Holly, thanks for this information,
lynx.browser.org
and currently for me its still Windows 3.1 and upfront the lynx web site says no support Windows 3.1 but maybe all that c:\windows\system\win32s stuff might fool it a little, but probably not, but I'll try.
Looked I did to try and find a fudged and not legal cut down in size Windows 95 that has only enough left in code and function to go to the net, but will fit into an under 50 Megbyte space. Since its unlegal it will be for "free", and I figure Bill Gates et al has made enough money to help those not "able" to buy/fit Windows 95/etc.
If by chance you heard of a place that might have a clue, please don't break the law and tell me, unless you are already serving a life term in prison without paroll.
<<DR-DOS>> Heard the man who founded this company could of done what Bill Gates did, but much much better, as you probably noticed first hand that his current version of DOS was always a version ahead of Bill's. Makes you wonder.
<<Opera as one great browser and plan to download the...>
You got me thinking.
In a month or two I will visit the open source Linux site and see what it will take to obtain the code, build instructions and libraries and whatever and see if I can put in onto my 486. ---(as i was looking up the spelling of Linux, i saw) Started By: Walter Jacquemin Date: Apr 7, 2000 ÿ7:24 PM Lynx Real-Time Systems is a private company that makes Linux-based embedded operating systems.
