Steven, What both, you and PROLIFE say, is true about the poor unfortunate Hispanic people. One thing we should not lose sight of, though, is that they are entering this country illegally. The "operative" word being illegal. I can understand their need to flee the corruption and economical chaos of their country but, the INS rules must be changed before we can turn a blind eye to this migration. I might also add, that those coming across the Rio Grande are not only Mexicans but also Nicaraguans, Salvadorans, Columbians, etc., etc. And, make no mistake, they are NOT all alike in temperament. They are, literally, different kinds of Indians. There are large areas of the city of Houston now where only Spanish is spoken, much like Miami. What is the solution? I surely do not know. ~H~ |
