Well Nichols, I can tell you that my retirement to the porch this week is in part due to Jim Willie & Voltaire. You may scoff all you like, but I would still be working without the extra growth my portfolio accrued thanks to their consistently good calls.
IMVHO, Jim Willie's TA, econ, QCOM & market analysis are top shelf. This plus Voltaire's angels & psychology as well as his options strategies are tools I incorporate into my DD & investment strategies. I repeat, thanks to the selfless & generous contributions by Jim & Tom, I was able to retire sooner had I not incorporated their thoughts & opinions into my strategies. That is testament of their value to this investor.
Oh & no Nichols, they aren't perfect. No one is. It's the consistency or lack thereof, that is what determines how successful a person is IMO. Just keep in mind that even folks with great track records will also make some calls that go south. Again, I can attest to the value of Jim & Volt's consistency.
FWIW, if you bet the farm based solely on any thread poster, you have no one to blame but yourself. Once you take another posters stock picks or market calls & put yer money down, they are now your own picks.
