IMO, Bluetooth has too slow a transfer rate for this application. Even with today's digital cameras, and with images compressed in JPEG, and under ideal conditions, you are already talking about 8 seconds to transmit a single digital photo. The range of Bluetooth also restricts you to taking pictures more or less in your own backyard.
