re: <<If Zmax even approaches the current capitalization of say Data Dimensions (300 million), ZMAX WILL BE TRADING AROUND 50 DOLLARS A SHARE.>>
I'll go you even one better (or one crazier, whatever): Again, comparing ZMAX to DDIM (It's the only somewhat compable company I can get any #'s on (ALYD, IAIC, FRX, etc. - who knows?)
DDIM Close 05/05 - $27.25 Shares outstanding: 11,382,000 From First Call: projected EPS - FY 12/97 = $.24 FY 12/98 = $.83 DDIM PE based on 1997 projected EPS: $27.25/$.24 = 113.5 DDIM PE based on 1998 projected EPS: $27.25/$.83 = 32.8
From Special Situations Analyst - Feb.21, 1997; re ZMAX: <<The company projects nearly $100 million in net profit in total for the 3 years, ranging from $1M in 1997 up to $69M in 1999.>>
For sake of discussion, I'll "assume" $25M in 1998, for a 3-year total of $95M: 1998: Net profit of $25M = $2.45 EPS (10.2M shares) or $ 4.03 (6.2M shares) 1999: Net profit of $69M = $6.76 EPS (10.2M shares) or $11.13 (6.2M shares)
Adjusting ZMAX stock price to current valuation level of DDIM: $2.45 EPS x 32.8 (DDIM PE based on projected '98 EPS) = $80.36 Using 6.2M shares, price = $132.
Granted, DDIM is an "up & running" NASDAQ-listed company, reporting revenues, P & L's, etc. IMHO, we're not far behind in that regard. What it boils down to (opinion again) is that ZMAX has about as much potential for a "moon-shot" as any company on Wall Street. Although I'd prefer that Z move on up to $132 tomorrow (or at least by the end of the week), I guess $50 will do. <g>
Entire y2k sector did have another great day today. On one hand, we may just be the beneficiaries of getting caught in the upward draft. On the other hand, ZMAX volume of 182K shares is almost triple the 30-day average of 65K (according to my Excel program) & 4 times the daily average of 46K for the prior 17 trading days. That wasn't the case for all the other y2k's.
In the "vibes" are right, we may be hearing some more GOOD NEWS soon. Just a prediction, but net worth of us Z's will be greater within the next 30 days. Yes, that is HYPE, but we're all friends here, and nobody else seems to visit much.
Take care all, David |
