Check, I am hearing some whispers from several sources that are all fairly close. I feel that there must be some truth to them, since they are coming from different sources.
~85 feet of net pay already behind pipe
~350 feet of net pay in the Bloemer/Phacoides Somewhere around 7-9% porosity. Lots of fracturing. 17,000 psi 350F bottomhole temperature.
My volumetrics calculation, based on 10 square miles (my own assumption, others will vary), puts us between 2-3 TCF. Remember that this is an "inverted bowl" and the deeper you go, the broader the aerial extent.
This obviously is based on second hand numbers (I haven't had the privilege of seeing the logs), but I was fairly conservative in the numbers I used.
Nobody should buy or sell based on the above. This reserve estimate is my own calculation, based on the information that I have, and is only for fun and comparison with others' estimates. It is not endorsed by the JV, and is a "guesstimation" of mine, but I honestly think that it is conservative.
How do your numbers measure up Check?
I found out that the flare permit was applied for some time ago, so we won't be waiting on that for 28 days. I am hoping that casing goes well and they can begin the flow test in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, further speculation should drive these stocks higher, since they are still valued at little over 0.5 TCF (with the exception of TMK and PYR). It looks like we may finally have a winner and prove ELH to the rest of the world.
