RESEARCH ALERT - Healtheon/WebMD started at buy NEW YORK, April 11 (Reuters) - Lehman Brothers said Tuesday it initiated coverage of Internet healthcare firm Healtheon/WebMD Corp. <HLTH.O> with a buy rating and a price target of $45 per share. said Healtheon/WebMD is the leading e-health company, the single best brand in the space and the company has a distinct first mover advantage. said after a spate of acquisitions and alliances, Healtheon/WebMD is way ahead of the pack in the race for critical mass. said deals filled out the service mix and eliminated potential rivals. The risk factors are now more on execution and less on competition. said the key in price appreciation will be investor confidence in the business model and thus a migration to Net-based sales. said expect Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliance on the macro level and acquisition integration on the company level to provide strong drivers of this trend in the back half of the year. said the stock trades at less than half of its peer group, though arguably deserves a premium given its dominant position. said risk profile aside, this name is the most compelling opportunity in a dynamic space that marries two powerful trends: healthcare and the Internet.
