We recently sold our house last November and got considerably more than what we paid for it in 1985. <Gold is wonderful stuff and may yet may make a comeback if a major crises hit> All it will take is a recession and a little bit of inflation with a declining dollar and a Federal Reserve in a radical easing mode to propel gold higher. The XAU is extremely interest rate sensitive. I hope for your sake that Greenspan pulls off another miracle. If he doesn't, Gold is waiting on its death bed to come back to life again.
