From last Friday's Austin newspaper ...

austin360.com

"Austin-based Merinta Inc., a subsidiary of Boundless Corp., will supply the software and services for a new Internet appliance that will be marketed to businesses by Web portal giant Lycos Inc., the companies said Thursday.

Lycos and Merinta will customize the appliances for companies in the financial services, real estate, health-care and online gaming industries. The companies will use the appliances to attract consumers.

Merinta's software, called iBrow, is designed to operate on any Internet appliance running any operating system and provide customized content and interfaces."

Seems like Merinta is clearly being positioned as a software and services company. However, remember that they have a "sister company", Boundless Manufacturing Services (BMS)that can handle manufacturing, assembly, fulfillment, supply chain management, etc.

Per yesterday's press release, both Merinta and BMS are involved in the Virgin deal.
