SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 12, 2000--
F5's Technical Support Centers, Combined With the

Leading Edge 'Ask F5' Knowledgebase, Demonstrates F5's Commitment to Providing World Class Customer Service and Support

F5 Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:FFIV, news, msgs), the leading provider of Internet traffic and content management (iTCM) products, today announced that it has expanded the Company's support capabilities by opening a Technical Support Center (TSC) in Washington D.C. to provide enhanced support for regional customers located in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

In addition, the Company announced the availability of 'Ask F5', an online knowledgebase accessible 24x7 through its web site (www.f5.com). Ask F5 gives customers and partners real-time access to in-depth product and technical support information, through the convenience of their browsers.

F5 Networks' new TSC, located in Tyson's Corner, Virginia, has been designed to keep pace and scale with the Company's substantial business growth in the expanding iTCM market. The primary purpose of the facility is to provide technical support for customers through highly skilled network support engineers, consultants, and training personnel. In addition, the TSC will offer a customer quality lab and demo room, classroom, and conference facilities. The new TSC will provide enhanced support for East coast and European customers, allowing the Seattle TSC to offer enhanced support for West coast and Asia Pacific customers.

Ask F5, based on the popular Ask Jeeves technology, is a 24x7 web-based service that allows customers to receive fast answers to F5 product- and service-related questions. Users simply type their question in plain English and Ask F5 serves up the answer. Ask F5 is also fully integrated with F5's technical support center, allowing customers to quickly communicate on-line with support staff who are experts on F5 products. Ask F5 is free for a full year to all F5 customers.

"In addition to our best-of-breed products, F5's leadership position in the Internet traffic and content management market can be attributed to our successful track record of providing superior support and service to our customers and partners," said Steve Goldman, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Services at F5 Networks. "Our new regional support office and the Ask F5 knowledgebase have been established to offer our customers the most responsive and comprehensive range of services to help ensure their success."
