Too bad you didn't short it? I bought it yesterday and will dump it in 1/2 hr from now.
Maybe the split announcement will help...who knows?
>Terayon Communication Systems Inc. fell in extended trading after the maker of Web access equipment reported better-than- expected results and announced a two-for-one stock split. Terayon fell 4 3/4 to 158, after losing 4 3/4 to 162 3/4 during the day. The stock is up 159 percent in 2000. The Santa Clara, California company reported pro forma net income of 6 cents per share, excluding charges related to research and development and acquisitions. Analysts polled by IBES International Inc. expected 4 cents. The stock may have fallen because without its $1.4 million in net interest income the company would have fallen short of analysts' expectations, said Joel Achramowicz, an analyst with Preferred Capital Markets, a San Francisco investment bank. ``It's obvious that they made the numbers based on interest income,' said Achramowicz, who rates the stock a ``hold.' ``Somewhere down the line the market's going to look for some earnings. And we don't' see them.'
