<A Bear Market in High Tech( not confirmed yet) would free up a lot of money to move elsewhere> Free up money! It's toasting margin accounts like no tomorrow... bring in the fire fighters! Speculative money supply [whatever that is] is collapsing to Greenspans glee. The initial 'puff' into gold will probably be a selling op and the real bull will start when it becomes apparent that things are so bad in the economy [hell, we haven't even had a downturn yet!] due to a recession & bubble burst at the same time that the 'GreenMan' starts pumping like nuts again.
