b2c is transitioning from hyper growth to high growth, leaving dozens of amzn wannabes in its wake. As harmon says, etail (as currently defined) is about heavy gravity, not zero gravity, leaving etail margins paper thin. Bottom line: there's no sex and sizzle left to justify lofty valuations. At best, you're left amzn's stock action; at worst, with etys' or cdnow's.

As for b2b, investors are realizing that transaction-based revenues are proving hard to come by. Hence, revenue projections are being revised. (At least privately.) Hence, cmrc's decline from 331 in December (thank you for my NW place, cmrc!) to 101 today, or arba's from 183 a month ago to 76 today, or vert's from 148 in early March to 45 today. We won't even talk about ppro.

Oh well. It's only money!
