Today's announcement of the joint venture between
Cyclopss and Foster Miller is of signigicant importance,
and the stock goes down !
They have developed a "unique" material which is "significantly
superior" to those it will replace and is a "strong contender"
for "extensive" use in aerospace applications. Had E.I. duPont
made the same announcement it would have gone up two points.
Possible applications include parts for rocket engines,
jet engines, heat shields for re-entry vehicles, etc, etc.
This is an engineers dream come true, a light, strong, heat
resistant material. I can't put a number to the developmenet
because you would think I exaggerate, but it is large.
I only hope some chemical and aerospace analysts get the news.
However, I think this announcement, though vague to outsiders,
will get someones attention.
I guess "buy on the rumor, sell on the news" was applicable
here, but there wasn't even a rumor. I anxiously await some
specifics on today's news and then perhaps we will all see
the ramifications.
At least things are happening, and one day........
