Thread, I hope at least some of you have been using put options this week to protect your holdings. I know many here use CCs, but the use of puts as a hedge on your common is not discussed as often. It is expensive, and is not total protection, but it sure softens the downside. My downside volatility is now down to 50% of my stock's downside, and if the naz slides much further it will be close to a full cushion, other than the degrading time value of the puts.

As soon as I think the bottom is here I will close my puts and ride the upside in my common and calls that I have. At least that is my plan, contingent on the bottom being reached before my May puts expire :-)

Good luck to all.
