1) SUNW monopolizing SPARC and charging more - because comparable NT workstation sucks. People are WILLING to spend more
for the power. Those who are not, are switching to Mac G4 systems. No anti-competitive here. Simple case of pay for what you get
and people are not willing to pay for the MSFT no matter how cheap.

2) AOL and IM - Litigation on Microsoft stopped them from piggybacking off of AOL's IM server. MSFT can create all the IM software
they want. No one is stopping them. When they steal the service and make AOL pay for the server traffic and maintenance that is
involved, that is illegal. So they stopped doing it. People just did not want the MSFT IM software going through Microsoftnet because
again, it sucked. Another example of MSFT trying to stomp the competition and getting burned by the legal system. That is why AOL
has 80 percent of the market.

Personally, IM is cute, but it's a security violation. It pokes holes in the network firewall. As a network manager, I squash that
whenever I get the chance.<
Bill,
You missed my points;
1. I would careless what Sun does or how much they charged for their softwares. It is for them to decide. I would not want the DOJ sues them for monopoly either since it is silly. But for Scott McNealy ran around said Microsoft harms consumer while he did not looks at his own sh*thole that he stands on that make it a joke. But there are lot of people believe it just like they still believe Bill Clinton said "I do not have sexual relation with that woman (Monica Lewinski)"
2. The Internet is sharing and routing the traffic that make Internet work. AOL violates that protocol and decide on their own what and who they can block is dangerous. What happen if Microsoft decides to block all AOL users from access their website or Microsoft decides to make Windows98 systematically breaks AOL softwares and see how many will scream "murder"
