OT Looks like Rick Sherlund, the expert Microsoft analyst, is dead wrong. Another one who used to be credible bites the dust (thanks to AMD). He had said it was slow demand for PCs that will result in lower revenues and earnings for MSFT although he expected earnings shortfall to be made up with other income.
MSFT did not give him any information or comments on their quarter. Makes you wonder how worried he is about looking like a dope when the numbers actually come out.

Now AMD says it is seeing PC demand strong and getting stronger. Of course that means those PC stocks that got killed today are ready to prove the analysts wrong.

Hope we see Dan Niles talk up Intel, AMD. It will add some more support for the techs.
