Sudan: Oil Production
Hejelij, April 12 (SUNA)- The Ministry of Energy and Mining and companies operating in the Sudanese oil domain Monday evening celebrated at Hejelij oil field, in Wohda State, increase of the Sudanese oil production to 200,000 barrels per day.
The ministry also celebrated inauguration of a training centre for oil production operations at Hejelij area for qualifying the cadres working in the oil field.
Meanwhile, the First Vice-President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, and the accompanying delegation, were briefed on the oil field's operations, and inspected a number of oil production utilities.
The Minister of Energy and Mining, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, addressed the celebration welcoming the investment of sister and friendly countries in the Sudanese oil field.
The minister called on those who are holding arms to return to the homeland toward realizing peace, development and stability in the country.
Dr. Al-Jaz lauded the efforts of the Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company, which comprises Chinese, Malaysian and Canadian companies.
