Tech has lost the #1 market cap position to GE!

#1 GE $517B
#2 CSCO $451B
#3 MSFT $412B
#4 INTC $407B

EDIT: All numbers based on Yahoo.

And INTC is at a lower trailing P/E than GE?

Sorry for the off-topic, just thought the numbers were interesting. Back to our favorite stock:

Based on analysts projections (which we know are very low for AMD :-) INTC and AMD have comparable forward P/E for 2000:

INTC @ 41.9 ($121.88, $2.91)
AMD @ 36.6 ($80 -- assuming it holds, $2.18)

I didn't get to listen to most of the CC but was surprised that AMD still projects no income tax liability for all of 2000! Maybe this will change in the 2Q CC if earnings continue their steep climb? I looked in the annual report for accumulated losses for tax purposes but got lost in the accounting. As I am sure Paul (and others) will point out, soon AMD will be contributing to the treasury and a 31% skim will lower earnings.

$1.15 !!! Excellent. A little (just a little) sad I may have to wait until the end of the quarter for a TBird though.
