I just read something that made me think. Westell has recently announced the industry is in short supply of DSL modems and they have signed up Solectron to help relieve some of their supply problems. This made me think that demand for all DSL modems should be a positive sign for the DSL rollout and AWARE. Modem manufacturers have predicted that DSL was going to grow fast and probably had enough production to handle the large demand. However, the growth curve is apparently steeper than they even thought to cause them to be in short supply. I am also wondering if the rollout of Intel modems along with all the other companies like Creative Labs, 3com, etc. will be coming pretty soon to help out the supply. Hopefully really soon.
