Although there may have been an absence of forced margin selling so far, some of the
afternoon selling may have been pro traders playing the action at their firms behest
... knowing full well that tomorrow morning we get selling to square away margin calls.

So perhaps there were some short positions created this afternoon that holders will think
about covering when the forced margin call selling slows up, say around 10:30 EST.
