Well of course Jerry is going to say that. Most of AMD's processors, including the 1.2M Athlons, went to the consumer market, particularly retail. Businesses aren't really interested in K6, and there aren't yet enough Athlons to really make a dent.

AMD will make inroads into business, for sure. There's no reason why they can't, unless for some strange reason the boogeyman of the 90's returns and AMD stumbles in execution once again. But I still don't think that'll be enough to derail Intel from its dominant control in the PC industry.

Then again, impressions are more important than actual data in this market, so who knows?
