Dear Qwark: I also own EMC as well as SUNW. In fact SUNW is the largest and EMC the second largest of my holdings. Personally, I dont see SUNW as a direct competitor to EMC at least at this time. From what I have heard, I think SUNW storage is basically for their own systems (ie SUNW is just trying to offer a fully rounded system), whereas EMC sells basically only storage and it works with any system. EMC has stated though that they may consider SUNW competition in the future once SUNW decides on the direction they are headed. Luckily, the storage market is not only very large but growing very fast, likely plenty of room for competition. I doubt that SUNW would sacrifice margins in an attempt to compete with EMC. JDN
