A press release indicated that the group of companies committed to the SD format do not believe that SONY's smaller version of its MemoryStick has as much potential as SD. The reason is simply that SD is an open design, whereas Sony is charging a licensing fee. On another topic, can anyone confirm a rumor that Kodak wants to purchase an interest in SNDK and possibly convert one of its vacant factories in Rochester to produce CF? Will do more checking on this and report if there is any additional news.
