STONEY CREEK, ONTARIO--Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc. and Unilever
have announced that they have agreed to join forces to create a
new, even more dynamic, socially positive ice cream business with
global reach. This new company will operate separately from
Unilever's current ice cream business to provide leadership for
Ben & Jerry's social mission and brand integrity.

Delicious Alternative Desserts Ltd. ("DAD") is the exclusive
Canadian licensee for the manufacturing and distribution of Ben &
Jerry's in Canada.

DAD is pleased that the negotiations have been finalized. We will
continue to service Ben & Jerry's loyal, and often fanatical,
Canadian customers and retailers with the great super premium ice
cream taste they have come to enjoy.

Delicious Alternative Desserts Ltd. is a manufacturer,
distributor, and marketer of distinctive and high profile brands
of premium and super premium ice creams and frozen desserts under
such famous trademarks as Ben & Jerry's(TM), Cadbury's(TM) and
Stoney Creek(TM).
