It is good for Dell that they make faster computers than Gateway, and end buyers may not be able to analyze why. But you are not the end buyer. You are presumably an investor, and you should do some analysis. And the analysis shows that it would be an apparent mistake to attribute Dell's performance advantage entirely to the use of RDRAM. This may lead to wrong investment decision. :)
