Nokia Supplies SDSL Network Expansion to KKF.net in Germany

HELSINKI, Finland,KKF.net, a leading Internet Service Provider in Germany, and Nokia have signed a contract for the expansion of their Broadband IP network based on SDSL (Single-Line Digital Subscriber Line) technology.

Deliveries will begin during May 2000 for this expansion of one of the first SDSL networks in Germany.

KKF.net will now extend the SDSL based IP access network with a northern ring, building additional sites in Berlin,
Hamburg, Cologne, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt and an additional expansion phase has been scheduled for autumn 2000. The
equipment to be delivered includes the Nokia D50e DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) Multiplexers.

"We awarded the initial contract to Nokia in November last year. This continued expansion shows not only the success of
our broadband data services in Germany, but underlines the technical and innovative aspects of Nokia's approach to the
provision of xDSL networks," said Miachel Konig, chairman KKF.net AG.

SDSL is a symmetric service available at speeds up to 1.5Mbit/s for both uploading and downloading. SDSL offers high quality of service and LAN-like speeds for remote workers. It is especially useful for large file transfers, video conferencing, distance learning, and fast Internet access.

The Nokia D50e DSL Multiplexers enable service providers to deliver both voice and data to end-users via ordinary
copper pairs. Highly flexible, the Nokia D50e DSL Multiplexers offer solutions that are scalable and cost-efficient even with low demand.

KKF.net is an independent German Internet service provider based in Minden, Germany. The company, which has its roots
in the system integration business, offers a wide range of services - from Internet access to Web design right on up to
software development.
