I suspect they think Intel will fight back Clearly Intel lost to AMD this quarter ... (Rambus and 820 problems + {Out engineered?}) For 2001 Intel new chips all over the place. I guess its sort of like new race cars .... Performance wins but it its sure tough to bet against established (read rich) winners IMO ... AMD has turned the corner and will stay profitable but I doubt they will make huge inroads against Intel (the above is not an expert opinion) Brent
