It may take a month before Nasdaq re-tests its recent low. And maybe a matter of months before a low is hit for the year. There will be bounces, rallies and surges. . . just like there will be selloffs.

Discipline of buying on dips and selling on peaks is still the answer.

Buying on peaks and selling on dips. . . leads to losses. .and always will. Nothing has changed.

Never good to trade out of fear. All trades should be planned. . .with solid reasoning and lots of thought. . . coupled with advice from those that have proven their worth.

You are right, Alt8. . . if the message boards are screwing with what you know. .. then turn them off.

This volatility is VERY VERY difficult to make work in your favor. . .whether you are long or short. . . stocks are moving up and down like they are on a yoyo. . . . trying to shake the weak fruit from the tree. . . and rattle your confidence.

I can't stand this sort of volatility. . .it is more like turbulence. . .in an airliner. The only ones that are truly winning in a market like this are those scalping and daytrading. . . and the brokerage houses. . .which make a good deal of their money off commissions and margin liquidations.

Trading this market is like racing a track which is floaded with oil and fuel. It is insane to think there won't be casualties. Better to just pull into the pits.
