Swiss - people could lose a major chunk of their profits from 1999. I am a long term investor but at times one needs to re-adjust that strategy. Protect capital, even in funds - this is just smart risk management, everyone should be 50% cash, even a long-term investor. It is just a smart hedge! My big mistake is not playing the short side as aggressively, some major money has been made off the top. I am still young, taking notes and learning. Trading will be my life and time is on my side. I love this game, so much strategy - however to play the game long term risk management and patience is key. There are times when one must be willing to go cash and just sit and patiently wait for the right opportunity to present itself!
