Probably won't happen, however I think it'd have a positive effect on AMD. I know quite often what is good for you is also good for your competitor (and vice versa).

However, AMD is fighting an image problem. If they do well and Intel does bad I think it raises their image even more. If Intel does awesome (which I expect) then people will say it was all on sector growth and had nothing to do with AMD really turning the corner.

Either way, I don't expect Intel to get anywhere near AMD's EPS which makes the price differential between the two way out of wack with reality. Especially considering who has more growth potential. Of course, the market can remain out of wack for a long time.
