Maybe later, Trish. MBAPHD2 over at Yahoo has a nice summary of the CC. They have to be getting uneasy at the moving variables of this deal -- falling VRTS and falling SEG??? -- and maybe starting to wonder if their audacious attempt to stretch the legal envelope of the letter of the law to the point of matter-of-factly mocking the spirit of the law might start to backfire in unexpected ways. In contrast, Carl Icahn's bid for Nabisco -- for a little more than twice the amount of the VRTS windfall -- is proceeding in an absolutely transparent and laudatory manner. Now, isn't that an ironic thing to say about one of the most feared corporate raiders of the 80s? ;-)
